How to Burn Fat

Burning fat within the body is important to losing weight and enhancing your body’s appearance. No one wants to have little bumps on their thighs or flab hanging over their waistband. So what are the most effective ways to losing weight and burning fat? Minimizing and even eliminating certain items from your diet can help you burn fat more effectively.

 

First it is important to increase your water intake, not only to replenish the body, but to help flush the body of unwanted toxins, molecules and fats.  The body needs water to help it function, so remember to drink plenty of water while exercising and throughout the day. With the body being 92% water, it makes sense to keep it hydrated to keep the body functioning properly. This also aids with digestion, food absorption and metabolism. Dehydrating your body will force it into survival mode and cause you to actual put on more weight, not lose weight.

 

Secondly, reducing your body’s sodium intake will help you release any excess water you may be holding. Sodium and items containing sodium help the body retain water. Combined with fat cells, it can produce the cellulite bumps that individuals, mostly women, detest. By limiting the sodium intake, you can eliminate excessive water in the fat cells and shrink the look of cellulite.

Sodas, even diet, have high amounts of sugar or sugar substitutes, which are converted to fat. Since there is no nutritional value to them, they are simply stored within the body and counters all the action you have done up to this point. If you need something to drink, try herbal teas or just water. Be careful of fruit juices too, as they are high sugar and fructose.

 

A small change in your diet is all that is needed to lose weight and burn fat. Try not to starve yourself, though. Fasting will force the body into reserve mode, so that when you finally do eat, your metabolism slows down to extend the life of the calories. This will defeat any healthy life style changes you have made prior to this point. Smaller, more frequent meals are best.
